Samsung is apparently to give consumers one more reason to hate it: the company is planning to launch the Galaxy Note 10 with 45 W fast charging support, but without a charger to meet the requirements in the retail package. The 45 W charger — codenamed EP-TA845 — will be available separately and is expected to cost over US$55.

f*** Samshaft! They can stick that charger and the Note 10 up and follow it out of existence.

What a misleading & clickbait title ... very sad to see
Can you please let me know what is misleading about it? The charger will not be bundled with the Note 10 and costs as much as the cheapest Android Go phones. What is the inaccurate part?

S.Yu

At least I don't even need 45W, and as long as it's QC there should be much cheaper chargers already available, but honestly this phone hardly qualifies as an upgrade.

Sorry but no. No you don't get to write this article until there are at least 50 articles (one of them by you) completely trashing Apple for their 5 watt chargers, exorbitantly priced usb-c to lightning products for fast charging that their customers have to buy to get fastest charging let alone the fact that every option in between is better than what comes in the box, the joke that is the connection deemed "lightning" in the first place, the horrifically poor quality of literally every Apple branded phone accessory they sell, terrible batteries in general, and the fact that their customers are so brainwashed by whatever Time Apple and the gang put out that most of them have no clue what any of what I just said even means. After that feel free to write a new article bowing down to the fact that Samsung has this conversation around it at all one reason of which being that NO OTHER SIGNIFICANT SMART PHONE BRAND IS EVEN CLOSE to 45 watt charging as a standard and they already have patents for a 100 watt charging chip that Apple probably won't touch for a other 10 years and everyone else will be playing catch-up on too. I use a Pixel 3.

So you want us to believe that Huawei or Oppo are not significant phone brands...
Oppo Super Vooc   10V   5A   50W
Huawei SuperCharge   4.5V – 10V   4A/4.5A/5A   40W
As for the prices...
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33028462456.html - and no, this is not the cheapest one, I just checked to find one by a good accessory brand within these specs. Prices start below 10 bucks for a 45 W charger.

OPPO, Vivo, and Huawei debuted similar fast charge close to a year ago. Samsung is very much playing catch-up at this point.

The 2017 Mate 10 Pro had 22.5W charge, while the 2019 S10+ is saddled with 15W.

100W? I'm pretty sure that's just USB-PD and not Samsung's proprietary tech.

This article has nothing to do with Apple btw.

Exactly, Anker and many of the Chinese brands who offer quality for a decent price, such as Orico, Ugreen, Baseus, Floveme or BlitzWolf.

Haha, and Anker's already high end in the Chinese market.

Lol, I guess so. Made a name for themselves outside the local/online audience... up go the prices and popularity as well. ;)
