Yota is an OEM associated with innovative dual-screen phones of the same name. It made its last such device in 2017, and hadn't been heard from since. Now, it has emerged that Yota has filed for bankruptcy in the Cayman Islands.

Only the original company is dead (wasn't it Russian though?). Yota as in the concept and product is apparently alive and now owned by some chinese company. Last time I read about it they were releasing an updated Yota 3 and planning a Yota 4 but I don't know what's the status on that.

Also you can look up the newest Yota 3+ by googling "yotaeshop" - though I must say they didn't do a good job of advertising all the changes around Yota phone, I hope that they won't waste the potential that it has.

A truly innovative and handy design. It would be a shame to see them disappear.
