A dedicated fan of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has spent the past few years working on a remake of the classic title in Unreal Engine 4. He recently released a demo of the first village and dungeon, and the results are stunning. The fan, known as CryZENx, has said that he will continue working on the project throughout 2019.

Please just take down the article or your next headline will be "Nintendo cancels another dedicated free fan game" because no matter how much we do appreciate these things that fans do? They're not legally entitled to do this. You're just blowing their cover.

Next week you'll run an article about what a shame it is that Nintendo took it down because of all the publicity.

Thanks, assholes.

Does increased media attention increase the likelihood of Nintendo noticing this project? Yes.

However, the source link is a YouTube video uploaded by CryZENx himself, promoting his work to date on the remake. That video currently has close to 400k views and a download link from Google Drive. If CryZENx had been trying to keep this quiet, he wouldn't have hosted the download via Google Drive, and he certainly wouldn't have posted a 25 minute video on YouTube to show it off.

There's a lot of coverage from the video game news community lately. While its great to see the love and hard work put into this for the fans by the fans, I really think exposing this and blowing it up will put it on Nintendos radar. And I really don't want to see this game canceled, and would love to see it get through to full completion.. it doesn't seem to be making any money off the game itself. So that's a plus.

If Nintendo does notice and cancel it, I hope that they bring this guy on a team that will do this officially.

Thanks for letting us know of this blatant copyrighted material we'll be shutting it down soon ruining all the time and effort he's put into it.

 >:( Kiss this project good bye. Nintendo like EA is bankster ran. Instead of love into it you get people being told by other people who only see the books what to do.  It should actually be illegal as that's what's put a wrecking ball to capitalism.

Plus a couple years ago a law was placed where your retirement money is used as stocks automatically which means sick companies now can be even more artificially propped up if you count everyone's retirement money in the USA.

SOMEHOW the guy putting it up for free is making LOTS and LOTS of money going to retire rich. Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee haaaaaaaaaaww. Actually I don't know HOW he is able to have time to do this for free where you need two jobs sadly just to make a living and raising minimum wage means you are more likely to be let go in replacement of automation sooner then it would otherwise.

I agree. You people are going to kill his project before he finishes it.

But we at least get one dungeon and village to screw around in right?

Kakariko Forest? 😂

Kokiri.

Whatever you do don't step on it or it stays all over your shoes and ruins your bosses carpet. You'll then have some 'splainin' to do and likekl a pretty looking pink slip on the way out the door. :)

Why does Hyrule have so many dungeons anyways? Are they secret air raid shelters for the cold war where citizens all evacuate too?

Countdown to cancellation by Nintendo: 5 4 3 2 1 COPYRIGHT!!! 🤣

Imagine The Final Countdown by Europe playing in the background.
