DP out on the TB port, is that DP 1.2 or 1.4?
1050Ti was put in to lower throttling on the CPU I'd bet
Good job on the display, HDR would have been bonus points, but good job IF the rise fall times aren't a disaster like they have been before.
I have to wonder how much the 8750 and 8950 are going to throttle as someone else mentioned.
720p webcam in 2018/19? They really want you to forget using that webcam given both placement and middling specs
Hope this thing doesn't get too hot
Does the TB3 out/in actually support the external display standard in the BIOS and OS? There was a long standing issue about that before and I don't see it mentioned this time around.
Nice use of the fingerprint reader!
No facial recognition? Really that camera issue just has many problems :)
I don't know till we see the order sheet, but really at this price level they should be offering Intel based Ethernet and wifi. Smart shoppers know the difference and it should absolutely be on the upper priced models.
Upper end models or perhaps the entire range should be using Samsung SSD's. Right now you play the SSD lottery which just isn't right at this price. Surface Book 2 - you know you get Samsung, but that's part of the pricing.
Throttling is going to happen, both power and heat based. The question will be how much. A 1060 Max Q would probably have been smart, marketwise, but I think they are hitting power limits.
This thing is really good, compromising where the engineers had to, but we'll have to see NBCheck test it to see.
