Love at second glance? The ThinkPad T460s is our daily companion for about three months now – time for take stock for the first time. Can Lenovo's business flagship confirm its excellent review rating in practice?

The display is a big no-no. Low PWM frequency 200 Hz used in whole brightness range up to 90% can cause eyestrain and other health problems, see review http://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-ThinkPad-T460s-Core-i7-WQHD-Ultrabook-Review.161028.0.html

This issue affects almost all 2016 Lenovo ThinkPad models with higher than FHD resolution displays so it is very likely a system bug in BIOS or driver. This issue has been reported in official Lenovo forums many times but Lenovo completely ignores it. How can you trust vendor that is supposed to deliver a "pro" laptop having such serios flaw regarding comfortable and safe use.

The battery life alone makes this a no-go for me. If I can't get 8+ hours then the device stays at home. Also the screen really needs some work. Lenovo ALMOST had a winner here.

I wish they do a refresh and offer USB-C gen 3 ports - which double as power adapter. That and a screen that doesn't use PWM and it's a winner.

So FHD = Full HD Lenovo ThinkPad displays are still OK for eyes? Does f.lux work well or does Windows 10 or ThinkPad have built-in low-blue-light mode?

This might sound silly but here goes.
I bought an Ultra Dock and it seems like there is an LED in the middle of the power button. However, it never light up so as far as I know, it might be just a decorative grey dot.
But on your photo of the laptop running while attached to the dock, it looks like there is an LED being light up. Can you please confirm wheter or not it's a LED so I know if I bought a faulty dock or not.

Small problem is trackpoint, it is too deep in the keys. It moves cursor slightly when buttons around are pressed (B, H, G).
Slower response times for gaming. Very good for business and portability.
Otherwise a great notebook.
Pricey, but I'm ready to pay for this quality.

Keyboard backlight is good from top view. But from an angle (15-30 degrees from keyboard surface) LED lights shine way too bright in dark conditions. There are other solutions on the market that have this covered.
