Looking for more performance? After one-year abstinence, Lenovo once again offers a powerful device without ULV hardware within its premium lineup. Thanks to fast processors and optional discreet GPU, the T460p is supposed to fill the gap between normal T-series and mobile workstations, but the cooling in particular is a small issue.

4 Gb RAM in laptop for 1500 euro??? It is a crime and shame!

The Dell E5470, which is Dell's direct equivalent to the Lenovo T460p, has been out since late December 2015 yet still no review.  Are you planning to review that model and compare it to the Lenovo?

Dell E5470 uses at best Intel® Core™ i7-6600U so it is not a direct competitor to this machine (the T460p uses a 45W processor which is more powerful but also impacts battery life).

The E5470 is available with 15W or 45W processors, up to the I7-6820HQ.  See the configuration page here:

I'm especially curious to know if the CPU throttling and high temperature issues with a 45W processor are the same as the Lenovo T460p, as the computer size and weight are very similar.

Right.  I found this review with a Quad-Core Intel Core i5-6440HQ (the very same than in this review):

Hello,

First of all thank you for the review. I only have one question.

Can you verify 100% that an additional M.2 SSD (2242) mounted in the open slot, the one used for WWAN, actually works? I don't see anywhere on the PSREF that mentions it is possible. I've read that on the X260 you can install one but the system won't read the drive - unfortunately I don't think it will work on the T460p either. Can you check please? Thank you!

I think you guys should check this website (review)?

No idea what is the purpose to reword (word by word) an existing review .. but maybe you can tell me?

Hi Robert,

thank you for the link. We will have a look at it.

Is the charger really 455g  in weight? Sounds abnormally heavy.
