What do you mean by the 3G module being 3G only?

I looked up the Huawei MU736 that's in the internal picture and it should do GPRS/EDGE too. I'd like to have this for poor coverage areas, that's why I'm asking.

Is at able replace the ssd and expand the ram,

I disassembled  the device but i could not see any of the above
