Will NotebookCheck review it soon? I am very interested in this model, overall its noise behavior :)

Fisomi

They said in the German part that there will be a review in the next two weeks, the notebook did already arrive.

The German Review is out:

I don´t know how long it takes them to translate it in english. You are very welcome though, to ask questions or tell us your thoughts. You can post here or you can write in the German Forum too, some parts are already in english there:

If you want to read a specific part of the review, maybe we can informaly translate it for you. To be short:
+It has an excelent display.
+Chasis is pretty solid.
+Working and gaming power is on the point.
+The keyboard is good.
~There are better speakers out there.
-It can be really loud on full load
-It can get very hot on full load (inside and outside)
-The fan can start to burst out of nowhere during light use. Silent Modus can supress this most of the time though. There may be an BIOS update for this issue in the future like on other clevos.

Thanks very much for your quick report. So it have the usal pros and cons of a Clevo. Normally in all reviews of Clevo based laptops its mentioned that with further bios updates the strange behavior of the fan would improve, but I didn't found a post-review that ratified that.

Did you know if some other laptop with that problem (The fan can start to burst out of nowhere during light use.) was successfully corrected in some bios update finally?

And again, thank you very much

So Daniel Schmidt the one who wrote the review said:

English: The Silent Mode in the Clevo Control Center (an App that comes with the Drivers) will reduce the CPU clock to 1,4 Ghz per core. That is exactly the same clock speed like in the battery-mode (AC not connected, how do you call that?  8)).
The burst of the fan (which btw. is normaly around 40dB as the review says) will be more smooth/less noisy in battery-mode. It wouldn´t be annoying in silent evironment.

Schenker made an update for the A523 (Clevo W350ST) and the A723 (Clevo W370ST):

Hinweis: das o.g. EC-Update wird ab sofort bei allen Neugeräten eingespielt und bringt eine deutliche Verbesserung, vor allem im Idle.
"All new Models (A523&A723) will come with the updated EC. It improves fan noise, especially in idle." The update is also avaible for download for all owners on their website.
So most likely they will bring an update for the P303 too, though they didn´t announce it yet.

If you go to the German Forum which i linked you above, you can find some links to other reviews (in english).

I´m really interested if you are going to order one because i am struggling with myself  ;)

I will not be able to use Clevo Control Center as I am using Linux 98% of the time. Any way in work I need all power in order to rendering, intensive graphic design etc, also I am a gamer :D.

I was thinking in configure it with a 4702mq instead a 4700mg and maybe replace the thermal paster with a better one, some Artic or so. I am struggling deciding between Schenker A523 and Schencker P303 (that worries about noise, but overall its temperature, reaching 99 degrees and downclocking CPU).

Did you know if Schenker uses better thermal paste than the One of the review?

I checked this review that I found thanks to you: http://www.gaminglaptopsjunky.com/clevo-w230st-review-gtx-765m-almost-true-ultrabportable-gaming-laptop

Don't doubt in share any finding about this models :)

Fulano

Ouch! I saw the review in english released today, and thats One already uses 4702 and still over heats.

Fisomi

As i said, it gets very hot.
You should check out the NBReview Thread (English), there are a lot of Posts about this model and how you can fix the heat issue:
http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo-reviews-owners-lounges/715556-official-clevo-w230st-sager-np7330-owners-lounge.html
http://forum.notebookreview.com/sager-clevo-reviews-owners-lounges/725922-htwingnuts-sager-np7330-clevo-w230st-review.html

In the German Forum the User Uncie received his P303 last week and he sounds very happy with it. So if you are pleased with tuning around with this notebook a bit, i doubt that the heat will be a big issue!
