Asus zeigt schnelles Zenbook U500 Ultrabook

Die einzige Bewertung, die ich bisher kenne, ist folgende (gerade erst entdeckte) aus dem englischsprachigen Notebookreview.com Forum:

Gentlemen,

I have one of these in my possession since yesterday. It's got the following spec number: U500VZ-CN046H

It's equipped with the i7 3612QM, 8Gb, 256Gb SSD (RAIDed) etc. I'll be happy to answer some questions about the laptop, if I can (and the near-unusable Windows 8 allowing...).

I already observed that it came with two Sandisk SSDs (pity), plus stickers advertising this sad fact. The screen looks to struggle with red, despite what the guy over at Ultrabookreviews said. I'll see if I can make a comparison photo. In any case these were not unexpected flaws.

Otherwise it looks and feels really premium, and I am pretty happy with it. I will revert to Windows 7 as soon as I get a new copy though.

Ohh Sorry, ich hab mich wohl falsch ausgedrückt. Meinte mit Bewertungen. Die Bewertungen wenn man bei Amazon auf den Anbieter klickt. Im Grunde nur Bewertungen zum Anbieter, zum Versand, Verpackung und so, Habe das nur erwähnt weil hätte ja sein können, dass es bei notebook.de zwar als verfügbar angezeigt wird aber noch nicht ausgeliefert wird, aber durch die Bewertungen der Käufer, sieht man dass es ausgeliefert wird und Leute schon ihr Notebook bekommen haben.

a) Rotprobleme?: Bild1, Bild2 und Bild3, der Fotograf glaubt er hat bei Bild2 einen Fehler gemacht, also vermutlich kein Orangegate. Display-ID: LGD0323 oder LGD037F

Okay did a very fast throttle test with Furmark and Prime95. It throttles instantly, all four cores stay at 1200 MHz. Stopping Furmark allows the cores to got to 2800 MHz again with running just Prime95.

Okay guys I have now run Crysis 2 for about 25 minutes and that should give some idea about throttling. CPU cores started out at 2800 MHz but after some time dropped to 2100 MHz and kept jumping up and down though staying mostly at 2100 MHz.
With Regards to the GPU, It shows that the Geometry clock was steady at 835.3 MHz, Memory clock steady at 1000 MHz.

Temperatures: GPU went to 71 degrees celsius and stayed there. CPU core max temperature was 77 degrees celsius and it stayed there. At least to me these temperatures seem very good.

The sound is truly Amazing and I have never Heard better speakers Before in a laptop, okey my last was Sony Vaio Z and the sound in the Vaio was terrible.

Wann wird dieses notebook hier getestet?
Wäre auch super wenn man testen könnte bis zu welcher Auflösung externe Display unterstützt werden und ob HDMI 1.4a unterstützt ist oder nicht.

Danke qwerqwer für die Zusammenstellung der neuen Infos.  :)

Ich bin wirklich bass erstaunt, wie niedrig offenbar auch beim UX51VZ die Betriebstemperaturen ausfallen.
Dies scheint nicht unrealistisch, zumal auch beim UX32VD die Temps. lt. Berichten sehr niedrig ausfallen.

Auf der anderen Seite ist es umso unverständlicher und sehr schade, dass Asus mit seinem offenbar sehr guten Kühlungssystem so viel Leistungspotential liegen lässt.
72 Grad C für die GPU unter Last ist ja quasi "eiskalt" und ein extrem niedriger Wert.
Andere Geräte genehmigen sich hier gerne Temps deutlich über 90 Grad (z.B. MBP), was im Übrigen zwar ein hoher, aber immer noch normaler und unbedenklicher Wert für die Komponenten ist.
Schade, dass Asus hier so früh abriegelt und  diese Kühlreserven nicht für ne schnelle GTX 660M oder evtl. sogar mehr nutzt...
Damit könnte Asus auf der Leistungsebene mit Apple gleichziehen oder das MBP sogar übertrumpfen.

Übrigens: Ich hab hier ein Asus S56CM bei mir. Auch dort läuft die ganze Zeit über der Lüfter, dies allerdings so leise, sodass das leise Rauschen und Klackern der dort eingebauten 5400-HDD den Lüfter fast "übertönt".
Ergo: Das Gerät ist zumindest subjektiv trotz laufendem Lüfter flüsterleise und man hört den Lüfter fast nur bei aufgelegtem Ohr oder Totenstille im Raum  ;)
Dies nur mal als Beruhigung...  ;)

Ich würd schon fast sofort bestellen, aber erstmal will ich auf irgendeinen Test warten. Oder ob irgendwie Hoffnung besteht, dass die SSD/HDD Variante in Deutschland erhältlich wird ..

Sieht nicht gut aus wegen einer HDD/SSD Variante. Zitat von Computerbase nach einem Gespräch mit Asus: "Zumindest vorerst soll es laut Asus in Deutschland nur die zwei hier schon genannten Konfigurationen geben."

Jetzt bekommen sie auch ein dual-ssd sample. Danke für die Info. Ich sehe nun auch schon ein paar Shops wo man auch die "kleine" Variante bekommt. Bin ernsthaft am Überlegen ;-)

Gibts denn schon offizielle Tests, zB von notebookcheck? Das ist nun eigentlich noch das, worauf ich warte. Wenn es die HDD Option nicht gibt, dann verzichte ich eben drauf. Ich will nur nicht in 2, 3 Wochen bereuen, nicht gewartet zu haben. ;-)

wie schauts denn mit einem eigenem upgrade aus? wie beim ux 32 vd wo man selbst die hdd ausbauen und ne ssd einbauen konnte. ist es bei dieser serie des zenbooks auch möglich eine ssd auszubauen und eine andere ssd einzubauen oder gar eine hdd? mfg

Also ich habe eben meins bei Atelco bestellt. Wird nun als Sofort Verfügbar angezeigt und  in 2-3 Tagen in der Filiale in meiner Stadt sein.  Da ich Samstag leider nicht kann, wird wohl Montag der heiß ersehnte Tag.
Bin mal gespannt was da ankommt. xD
Ich werde dann mal kurz Bericht erstatten.

Nochmals neue Messung aus dem NotebookReview.com Forum

I ran Prime95 and Furmark (burn-in test) at the same time while having hwinfo64 in logging mode on. I ran for about one hour. CPU and GPU usage was around 99-100% all the time.

The top part of the keyboard gets warm, but not extremely warm. There is no heat by the palm wrist and the bottom two rows of the keyboard. At the end of the test I used Android Sound Meter on my Galaxy Nexus, and it measured about 40-42db 15cm above the back of the keyboard (towards the user of laptop) in full load.

Looks like CPU topped out at 90c at one point, and GPU max was about 82c. Isnt these numbers very good? I read that the same test made rMBP CPU go to 104c!(?)

About 15 minutes after I shut down furmark and prime95, the CPU went down to ~50c and GPU down to ~42c. I now notice that the fan sound is a bit annoying..

However as I see it there are some throttling going on, but as previously said it does not look like its caused by overheating (at least regarding the CPU). Also the GPU seems to throttle, as Furmark told me that in the status text during the test. I took a screenshot but could not find it, it said something like "(Throttling: -700)".

Can anyone who is experienced take a look at the logs and tell us what you make of it?

The US version of UX51VZ uses ADATA MX11 proprietary mSSD,  battery is 70Wh and there are no 2.5" HDD slots under the battery:
