The GMKtec EVO-X2 is now official in China, and it's available only in one configuration, which pairs the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 128 GB of RAM and 2 TB of storage. Its launch price is CNY 14,999, around $2,060.

Just... silly!

I wouldn't even own this thing if it was gifted to me! I would quickly sell it... FAST!

Gah, I wouldn't forget benchmark numbers are actually putting the 8060S around the same level as a 3070 Ti/4060, but framerates aren't that optimist - it's only good for mid-high 1080 gameplay, certainly not good enough (not consistently at least) for 1440.

$2k for a mini PC with some exagerated claim about its APU is bound to disappoint - get a gaming laptop with dGPU instead.

Many forget that this miniPC is aimed at AI loads thanks to the 96 GB of VRAM allocation.

From a normal/gamer user perspective, it basically has the same performance as the G7 Pt (which is actually impressive for a miniPC), but using half the power (so it's a lot more silent), and it costs an arm and a leg.

Out of the four systems announced so far, only HP's Z2 Mini supports ECC memory. The Framework Desktop does not support it, and there is no information about GMTec.
