Off to an impressive start, Ubisoft's new release hopes to earn the title of the best Assassin's Creed game. To this point, Assassin's Creed Shadows is falling short of the player counts notched by the 2020 Valhalla. Fresh Ubisoft data also shows the influence of Steam on the game's popularity.

Let me do the industry a favor by giving you some common sense advice, something a child should understand. Do NOT compare you're games to Covid releases. I'm going to lose my mind if this continues. You will never hit those milestones no matter how good, bad or well received you're sequel is. If the sequel is being compared to its Covid released sibling you will be disappointed no matter what.
