Like last year's Galaxy S24 Ultra, Samsung ships the Galaxy S25 Ultra with an S Pen. However, unlike the stylus of its predecessor, this lacks Bluetooth and some associated features. Samsung has now revealed that people will be able to buy a Bluetooth-enabled S Pen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra.

Most people will really struggle to find any good use for the s-pen. While it is cool gimmick, it just doesn't have much practical use. I've used with the s24 ultra just a handful of times in a year. I wish someone could prove otherwise and help me see a real daily use application for it, but as it stands, excluding it from the s25 ultra really does not seem a big problem.

You'd have to be a 2-year-old to not be able to find a use for the S Pen... Taking a group photo by itself without having to wonder if a voice command worked or rushing after a countdown. I found so many uses of the S Pen button and it's pretty sad you can't even think of one.

Scammy

Another blogs says it's all probably fake news. S Pen is nerfed for the S25 Ultra. It does not have a charging coil for any S Pen built-in or not. And I for one, being part of the 1% that actually cares about the Bluetooth capability, decided not to get the S25U. I hope that's part of your business plan Scamsung.

- why is this 'surprising'? After all, there is 'prior art' when Samsung has decided that it's safe to rip off suckers by lowering the specs to fleece the suckers? Removal of micro-sd card is one such example, and they also 'saved' by not supplying the pen with one of their 'premium' models (s21 ultra?).
And it's not like Samsung are the only brand fleecing their 'valuable' (oh, so valuable!) customers. They assume that if somebody's stupid enough to spend 1400 eur on a phone, they can easily squeeze another 50 euro from them on the 'ultimate' pen :)

I guess this makes me 2 year old too! Perhaps you're trying too hard to find a use for the pen? :)

I'll keep my S24 Ultra until a new version comes with an improved S Pen with Bluetooth capability. This is an additional reason not to upgrade to the S25 Ultra. I've had Samsung phones since the Note 4.

Actually this article probably should be removed because this information about a new S-Pen that you can buy separately that has Bluetooth features was fake. Samsung has confirmed they're not releasing a Bluetooth S Pen at least at this time but they've came out and confirmed and said this. Not to mention there's no way to charge an S Pen with Bluetooth and the S Pen slot on the Galaxy S25 Ultra because they have removed the charging hardware for that so it wouldn't even charge the aspen.
