Biden administration announces $4.3 billion in student loan reliefs

President Biden has announced an additional $4.28 billion in student loan relief for 55,000 public service workers enrolled in the Public Service Loan Forgiveness. This brings the total loan forgiveness under the Biden administration to $180 billion, benefiting 5 million individuals.

Hmmm. Don't misunderstand, I emphasize. But who pays for those loan reliefs? Blue collar workers who chose not to go to college but now pay for those who did in taxes. Fact is, not everyone needs a college degree and the job market has become saturated with it to the point where it has lost a lot of value.

Don't think this has anything to do with college degrees or job market saturation. More they need people to work for government but nobody wants to and this provides an incentive to.

Says quite clearly this for public service workers only. I'm just confused that this has just only been done now and not before? Surprised it hasn't always been the case, I guess.

Who pay for law enforcement to ride around not just in average automobiles but in luxury SUVs, ect. (all-day with their engines ALWAYS-ON), flying around the world lodging at the most expensive places on & on, huh?!?!

Yeah, let's have the MINDSET to not give back to the taxpayers and TRY to plant a positive seed for the FUTURE GENERATION(S) but instead, let's give many crooked law enforcements, that harass and super abuse their authority... hourly/daily... MANY TIMES... GLOBALLY, and continue to fuel their daily lavish lives, that many has barely even finished high-school, on the taxpayers; and let us keep funding countries that has never lift one finger, in its history, to help that territory when it was in need.

Generally, sites like "notebookcheck" diving into political issues for the clicks is part of the undermining. But maybe notebookcheck wants to say what their actual motivations are.

In a sane world this would be considered a conflict of interest and illegal but we all know we dont live in a sane world.

I think of all the groups that dont deserve handouts, teachers and law enforcement would be at the top of my list. Both institutions are rife with entitlement, elitism, and self righteousness and they get some of the best pensions, benefits, and perks for essentially just putting in their years. No real accountability and if you dare criticize the knives come out (esp with teachers). Quite frankly most of the new crop of teachers and cops simply thinknthey are better than everyone else.

And I have to say, the ROI and quality from these institutions has been steadily declining. Yet here we are again playing identity politics to buy votes at the expense of the rest of society for whom our "betters" tell us are our "heroes". So stunning and brave. Smh
