Embarrassing Arrow Lake sales result in AMD accounting for 93% of total Mindfactory CPU sales for past three weeks

Intel CPUs are not exactly fan favorites at the moment, as Mindfactory's CPU sales data for the past three weeks shows AMD dominating the charts. The situation is so bad for Intel that the new Arrow Lake chips account for a fraction of the sales of AMD Zen 5 chips.

It is the same in stores and by the ratio of reviews online like at Amazon. The price is too high and a whole platform is needed for Intel.

The same thing is happening in the USA, AMD chips are all out of stock and waiting for replenishment.
Many people are buying AM5 motherboards to upgrade.

According to many comments (Computerbase etc.) Mindfactory was always "the" shop for AMD users.

Additionally the shop is mostly limited to Germany. Private persons outside from Germany can't order from this shop.

Thus I wouldn't say that the Mindfactory sales number are really representative.

Yeah, Germany is so tiny country, basically like Vatican population-wise, so Intel is in shambles because of 11,160 Z5+Z4 units sold. Meanwhile the 285K is beasting in all sorts of productivity workloads, such as game development in Unreal Engine where the Ultra 200S is simply wiping the floor with Z5 in important situations such as shaders compiling, you know stuff that can't be precisely benchmarked with random benchmarks such as Geekbench 6.3 or Cinebench R24.

But yeah, more sold = better. By that logic Apple is utter worthless s*** as they sell less than AMD, less than Intel, so...

No... Mindfactory has not always been like this.
During the Bulldozer/Zen 1 periods Intel had like 80% resp. 70% share...

Also these numbers are supported by most other western sales charts e.g. Amazon.

Arrow lake is not selling

Even the steam hardware survey shows 70% / 30% AMD to intel CPU marketshare split respectively.

Don't think you can call steam AMD biased either considering for their GPU marketshare they only have 15% and Nvidia has 75%.

It is kinda of terrible news tho as we're already started to see the affects of an AMD CPU monopoly. The fact that AMD is able to get away with selling a 4 year old zen 3 core (5700x3d) for $200 still and hasn't released a decently priced 7700x3d or 9700x3d yet.. :/

Nvidia CPUs can't come fast enough. Thankfully Qualcomm won the arm lawsuit so we should be expecting Oryon cores on desktop as well too.
