Intel Arc B580 and Arc B570: New desktop graphics cards announced with affordable price tags

Intel has officially shown off its Arc B580 and Arc B570 desktop graphics cards. Both are mid-range offerings that aim to compete with Nvidia's GeForce RTX 4060 at a fraction of its price.

I'm all for it if it's cheaper than Nvidia's 4060 and available in shorter versions (less than 20 cm would be great) and/or low-profile (we're in desperate need of more options for low-profile cards that are not total crap).

We'll have to see the performance in the reviews, but after the news we've read about AMD's new graphics with RDNA 4 and the new Nvidia RTX 5000, I doubt Intel can even come close.
In any case, the more competition there is, the better for the end consumer, the better products at a lower price.

The same thing happened when Intel launched the first-gen Arc cards, they positioned them as competitors to the then-current generation of Nvidia 3000 cards just a month or two before the 4000 series came out.

They're always about a year late anyway.

That TBP tho. May make the availability of small lower profile cards more difficult. Might just better off going with a RTX 4060, which is only 115w.

Ok... you purchase this mess that's compared to one of NVIDIA's lowest tier GPUs (that a 3060Ti+ just crushes) that's dated (4060 that's over 2-years-old) for ~300 bones?!?!

GTFOH with that [sic] foolishness!

There's NOTHING economical about purchasing this sad GPU that is already GENERATIONS behind for TOMORROW's DEMANDING apps/workloads!

Wake me up when Intel's GPUs FINALLY meet tomorrow's standards and Intel's GPUs are not still reliving the stone age relic times . 😏
