A noted X leaker says AMD has no plans to increase the amount of 3D V-cache on its upcoming Ryzen 9000 X3D CPUs. They will be announced at CES 2025 and hit shelves later in January 2025.

what?
the 9800X3D is better than the 7800X3D by a reasonnable margin.

I only know that it is currently impossible to buy Intel chips, everything is sold out and the same will happen with the new Ryzen 9 9950X3D and Ryzen 9 9900X3D from AMD that are coming out in January at CES, all this to avoid future tariff increases that would affect the purchase of processors by almost 20%, hence why everything is currently selling out.
What AMD has to do is request to increase production to the maximum from TSMC at least for 3 months before the tariffs arrive.

I think they mean Ryzen 7 vs 9 as in Ryzen 7 7800 vs Ryzen 9 7900, and not 7000 vs 9000 series (because the 9800X3D is a Ryzen 7 chip, and not a Ryzen 9 chip like the 9900X3D and 9950X3D will be).

But yes, really confusing naming convention :D
