Terraria celebrated its 10th anniversary in September with a new Flying Dutchman t-shirt design. As it turns out, the Terraria community had some unsavoury words about the use of AI in the creation of the shirt's design, and the creator of Terraria wholeheartedly agrees: "Clearly, this is not acceptable..."

Your conclusions about AI art are misguided in relation to this article - the issue here is that the AI art in question looked very bad and the design was not good. Hope this helps.
