Given that the basic M3 MacBook Air continues to lead in all reported comparisons against Intel and Qualcomm ARM-based laptops, without even looking at the M3Pro or M3Max MBPs, I'm pretty sure Apple is going to dominate with this new generation. Apple is already the performance leader. It's not even close. The M3Max MBP is the absolute best in the market. The M4 generation is going to wipe the floor with their competition, including in performance per watt. It would be nice if any of these lame benchmark publications went beyond using the same synthetic benchmarks, much less attempting to stack the deck in favor of Intel and Qualcomm by only using an M3 Air and STILL coming up consistently short. Good luck finding any way for Apple's new offerings to come up short.
