Just another non news worthy item.  He is creating more pollution than he would have with a regular pickup.  He's towing a running generator while charging a electric truck.  You can clearly see the charging cable running to the Cyber truck.  He is only using the plugs in the truck,  guess he did not have a conversion cord.

Instead of towing a hulking generator, why not just tow a regular welding trailer with a gas powered welder? I fail to see how this is, in any way, an improvement over how everyone else does it.

Did you even read the article or only watch the video? It clearly states that he was using the truck to run the welder and the generator to charge the truck.

Why use a fragile unproven battery Cybertruck?
I would use a diesel Toyota HiLux with the diesel generator in the back. There are plenty of proven vehicles around that are tough and reliable and far more suited to doing exactly that sort of work for many decades.
This farmer would already have voided his warranty on the Cybertruck.

The towed generator is big enough to run a small steel fabrication factory in it's own. Just a pathetic attempt to make the"Cybertruck" look useful.

I love how the constantly try to pro the cyber testile and other EV trucks are useful,  but they fail every time. You can do.The same thing with a small generator and and ICE pickup and have far less pollution. Not to mention EV truck don't have the payload capability or towing range of a ICE truck.

EV'S have been  around for 100 years, it's a old dead technology. The only reason  they haven't died off completely is because  of government subsidies and politicians own share of EV companies. Don't  be fooled, the are a scam.

That is a fairly ignorant statement. As naive as looking at a nuclear powerplant and going "oh, nothing to see here, steam engines have been around for hundreds of years"

100 years ago, the transistor did not exist. The basic building block of every modern electronic. And 100 years ago the lithium ion battery did not exist

Actually, the EVs that did exist 100 years ago actually were more popular than gasoline cars and outsold them. It was actually thanks to government interference than the gasoline car won due to build out of the highway system. And government showed favoritism for cars altogether through banning of stables in communities and destruction of horse roads.

This is about the silliest thing I've ever seen. Just get a diesel truck, problem solved. You can easily modify its engine to work as a generator if you want, and it will produce far less pollution if that's really what you care about.

They are trying to prove a point. The truck can tow large equipment and also that the truck can supply an electric welder. Maybe if they didn't tow the generator people would then see what they where trying to show.
