"This app works fine the buffering is from people not following the right spoofing instructions or using the wrong gsm core."

This is 100% false. The Devs are currently working on a fix, but the buffering is a known issue, regardless of whether you followed the instructions or not. There are a number of suggested fixes, including the spoofing you talk about, but none of these work. The development team themselves have posted this on the official subreddit, so stop spreading misinformation.

Doesn't work for YT Music. Once patched and installed, it just self closes when trying to open the app. Cache and data clearing doesn't fix it.

Just use Firefox web browser on the phone. All of the sites get blocked ads. Music.youtube and YouTube. No stopped videos no ads. 100% easy

Yeah, now you have just told Google to concentrate on the only remaining ways to bypass the abundant adds. Noce job, hope you get a good a** chewing when these methods are ruined. Thanks allot

Do you think they're really going t notice this tiny little thing? I  suppose they could search for relevant stuff...

There are some great browsers that work just as well, also, while simultaneously protecting you from trackers and other things. *Taps nose*

You can absolutely have the revanced app take the place of the stock YouTube app. It takes about ten minutes to uninstall the official YouTube client on unrooted devices utilizing standard adb commands. No computer or other devices is needed. It can all be done on the phone itself with USB debugging and LADB. There are plenty of guides online detailing how to uninstall any app, even system apps via these steps. Also, once it's uninstalled, then patch the YouTube app with revanced manager and it will automatically have the same icon and app name as the official YT app by using the default patch settings. Lastly, go into the default app settings for "Open by default" settings section of your newly patched YT client and toggle "Open supported links" to on. Then below that check all four boxes for each type of YouTube URL link. After these steps, the patched YT client will behave exactly as the stock YT app. Links will open in the patched app and you'll never encounter all the garbage and smut that comes with th official YT client. Also, since this uninstalled the official YT app, there's no need to worry about the stock app being automatically reinstalled over time via Play Store updates. The official app will only reappear if manually re-installed by the user.

Very simple and far more elegant solution than having to manually patch the official YT client on Android devices, it's called Smart Tube. I can't post the link. So, just go to GitHub and search for Smart Tube. It's developed by yuliskov.

Pretty much all the same functionality of revanced, if not more with auto-updating functionality. And the app is in active development with updates occurring frequently. It's a god-send.

This article is why we can't have nice things. Sure reveal to everyone including Google and YouTube how the workaround works, perhaps they get a chance how to stop it or fix it.

If people really want to find a workaround I trust them to find out how to and not by this article.

This article and it's author is the reason why revanced soon will be unusable.

It keeps failing at the patch and building phase. No instructions for when this happens  . Will take other commenter suggestions and try a different app altogether

I just use Windscribe on my phone to block ads. You gotta subscribe to their "ROBERT" thingy but if you build your own plan you pay as little as $3 a month. Can't help with other devices, I'm afraid.

Whenever I go to look for an app, I always search for its git first. Then go from there.

I suggest doing that in the future

To keep blocking YouTube ads on Android despite Google's crackdown, use a third-party app like YouTube Vanced or an ad-blocking browser such as Brave. These options effectively bypass ads while offering a smoother viewing experience.

Get the best messaging app, Yo apk at gbapps.net. It is the alternative to the original app. You can download this apk from gbapps.net, the official website. As i said it offers many features that the simple app did not provide. So give it a try once!!
