ISSUES with the Lenovo ThinkPad P1 G7 (2024) laptop:
- lacks RTX 4090 option
- lacks 240W USB C charging
- thicker bezels vs competition
- keyboard could have kept 1.8mm travel of G1-G3
- still no AMD Ryzen 9 HS processor model
- released too late in the year (May)
- RTX 5090 is around the corner (Nov)
- not available in white or silver
- useless tapered design limits space for battery and cooling
- no Thermal Grizzly liquid metal on both CPU & GPU
- GPU not operating with 100W

Your "white and silver" comment is silly. This is a ThinkPad, if you want colors, get a Lenovo Legion.
ThinkPad P1 units have used liquid metal and (with higher end GPUs) vapor chamber cooling for several generations now. Bitching about Thermal Grizzly is again silly.
If you want a non-tapered design, you're looking at the wrong model, you want a P16.

I agree with you on the keyboard travel. As a ThinkPad P1 G6 and G7 owner, not having 1.8mm travel is the greatest disappointment.
