With a share of over 85% in the productivity software segment and more than 90% in the operating system market share currently in use with the federal agencies, Microsoft reigns supreme in the US. However, this makes it quite sluggish when it comes to dealing with threats and worthy of being considered a national security concern.

Mr Majestyk

An absolutely appalling company on so many fronts and frankly are as incompetent as it gets when it comes to software. They should be broken up ASAP. Nadella has been an incompetent buffoon and far worse than Balmer. He needs to go immediately as a first course of action.

This is funny, considering the US government supports MS's monopoly. It'll be interesting to see what, if anything, comes of this.

Personally, I hate using anything MS, as every single one of their products has (usually numerous) ridiculous issues that should never have existed in the first place, much less go as long as they do before being fixed, if they are *ever* fixed. This is a prime example of a company that just doesn't care at all about their users. I'm constantly wondering how much of it is incompetence, as Mr Majestyk says (and surely this accounts for a lot), and how much of it is apathy and arrogance. And I agree, they need to be broken up, because they've clearly become too large, as indicated by the utter lack of quality and care.

As for the article, I think they word the author was looking for was resistant, not resilient.
