Man, can they put a transreflective (e-ink like) screen on it (like the Bip)? Then it would have like a 30day battery life and I would buy it in an instant.

I doubt it's making or receiving calls over Bluetooth from your phone. It's not a standalone device so you would still have to have your phone around to use it. So you might as well just pick your phone up and use it because that's what it's for.

Yes for speaker & microphone for communication (phone) function.

No for all fitness and sports sensors.

A smartwatch should help with time, calendar, reminders, notifications, payments, unlocking smart locks, some entertainment, etc.

There's no need for counting steps, GPS, heart rate, sleep tracking, blood pressure, ETC. Most of us don't want to wear a medical device!

It's nothing fancy. Most watches today connect to Strava and Fitbit. I'm not sure if you mentioned maps or GPS. I'd spend a few more dollars for a old Garmin or Fitbit. I use a Garmin 235 and a inspire 2 Fitbit. The sleeping is an hour off between the two. GPS is okay. I like Fitbit s integration with health plans as I like Garmin for training and racing. It's getting difficult to choose what is a best watch as it all depends on personal preferences and goals. Happy 2024
