While governments are slashing electric vehicle subsidies left and right due either to fiscal constraints, or simply because they already did their part, Tesla says that it will keep the low prices. In Germany, for instance, it will not only compensate for the federal, but also leave its own share of the EV subsidy intact.

instead of cutting subsidies to people should be cutting subsidies to oil, companies and drilling companies

Order now, with delivery within 7 workdays, for how many customers will that work?
Or are Tesla's sales yards full with stocked vehicles just waiting for someone to sign a purchase order and be readily delivered the next day?

I want to say thank you Mr Elon for the lower prices. I have my Model Y saved on the web and plan to make good on it by May, at the same time watching the rates. Hope all is well,be blessed....

Or cut subsidizing Ford and Gm to see when and if interested to take a shot a developing a product anybody wants even ,it were available!!!

I think that would work for almost everybody

So, in essence, Tesla admits they kept the price artificially high when there was subs available...

Yes, that is the definition of profit margins.

Holy cow can electric car companies do no wrong. Where does all the raw materials for batteries come from. Where do they go when they are depleted. It  still takes raw materials to make these cars. Plus in cold conditions they get half the energy.  How is that helping. You see Elon as helping the environment  but killing bird populations at SpaceX. Make up your mind. Yes we need to do something  about the environment but jumping on the first thing out there is just ignorant. You are just wanting to win this battle at any cost. Shameful

Daniel Zlatev, your comprehensive analysis of Tesla's strategy to offset the loss of EV subsidies is quite enlightening. In the context of Tesla's proactive approach, how do you see this impacting the development and adoption of drone technology, especially considering the increasing focus on sustainable and electrically-powered solutions in various industries?

Of course, they are a for profit company, not a charity. Not to mention companies need to pay for R&D and keep money on hand which will be needed as competition heats up. Of course they also probably have more flexibility with the new upgraded lines that bring down costs coming next year

What do you mean no wrong?

You never cared about where the RAW materials for gas cars come from, why do you care now? And with gas cars, you BURN some of that material

In comparison, EV batteries are recycled. See Tesla's impact report where they show every year how much materials they recycled from batteries

EVs are only much more environmentally friendly vs gas cars, that is all. More environmentally friendly would be public transport or ebike or bicycle, and even more would be walking. It is all relative

SpaceX is not Tesla. And do note that humanity eventually leaving earth for space would probably be the most environmental thing that can ever be done for earth. The sooner the better, but obviously it won't be this century so we have to make best of what we have without destroying it

Blindly hating on things without doing your own research is what is ignorant and shameful
