Xiaomi's upcoming first-gen car, also preliminarily known as the MS11 or Modena, is widely thought to land as a purely battery-powered electric vehicle (or BEV). However, according to the latest reports, it might also be possible to buy it as an extended-range EV (or E-REV). This kind of car integrates a small internal combustion engine (ICE) intended to help it run on electric power for longer.
