Why did Lenovo smartphones fail?
- Does not compete with neither iPhones nor flagship Androids (Google Pixel 7 Pro or Samsung S23 Ultra)
- One 1 awkward screen size that appeals neither for iPhone 14 Pro nor iPhone 14 Pro Max users
- Shorter battery life
- Worse camera with only 3 lenses
- Poor integration of cloud services like Google Drive, MS OneDrive, Dropbox
- Disappointing speakers
- no unique selling point, and lack of ThinkPad DNA - just a useless name
- outdated hardware
- Lenovo software gimmiky and clunky to use - no value add to custoemrs who are used to Apple products
- ThinkPads are regarded as big, heavy laptops with chunky bezels, inefficient Intel CPUs and lack of Nvidia GPU power wrapped in an aging finger print-attracting chassis lacking white (Asus G14) and light silver options (MacBook Pro 14 M2)
I used to love ThinkPads, especially the X1 Extreme, but the lack of 35W AMD Ryzen HS options with high performance Nvidia graphics cards like the RTX 4080 is a real shame.
Legions are very heavy, bulky, have huge chargers, lack premium 14" models and again have no white, light silver chassis options for Slim 7, Legion 7
