Garmin has introduced Outdoor Maps+, a new paid feature for some smartwatches, including the Enduro 2, epix (Gen 2), and fenix 7 series. The tool is available via an annual subscription, bringing satellite images, enhanced topographic maps and a public land overlay to eligible wearables.

Garmin smartwatches are expensive enough(I suspect mainly small market), and now this subscription?

Garmin price gauging once again.

Realky hope another brand can step up their game. Garmin is not worthy of the top spot.

They're worthy because they're the best, AFAIK, but I do believe others are behind only because of lack of effort, or I might say funding.
