With the Security Edition of the EliteBook, HP is catering to an affluent clientele looking for an uncompromisingly powerful and mobile laptop. In addition, the 14-inch laptop also fulfills high security demands with features such as Sure View, Fingerprint and Wolf Pro software.

"very high CPU performance"

How? 11000 in Cinebench R23 is worse than a 5800H.

Hi,
Add please CPU-Z Memory screenshot, I doubt about dual channel as only one slot is used.
That's the reason for poor gaming statistics.

"No thunderbolt support"

You would think AMD would have added that by now if they really want to grab the laptop market.

The WWAN slot is M2 3042 and the WLAN slot is M2 2230. The 2 USB C ports are USB4 which is TB3 compatible.

Sure, we'll add it, kid. As soon as you're done reading about "DDR5" on Wikipedia (hint: don't skip paragraph §5).

A single DDR5 stick dual channel but each channel is only 32 bit, so 2 sticks is 128 bit, same as dual channel DDR4 (64 bit x2). iGPUs performance with DDR5 is still severely nerfed by using a single stick.

Why is the graphics of the M680 so much under average? Is it the 1200p screen resolution as the above commentator indicates?

Because this config only has one RAM stick. Need 2 sticks for full bandwidth.

Quote from: LPopov on July 17, 2022, 10:40:43The screen is 16:10, so the resolution is 1920x1200 not 1920x1080...

Only the new intel elitebook g9 has 16:10 screens.

The old 16:9 sureview is one of the worst screens existing making this laptop dead and useless for anyone except perhaps financial dummy clerks that has to take public transportation.

You praise the 5 MP webcam, yet you only gave it a score of 48%. Why is that? It surely lowers the overall score. Thank you for your response.

The rating system for cameras includes smartphone cameras too. Even a good laptop webcam like this one is still vastly inferior to a good smartphone camera.

But the overall score is not that much lower due to the camera, as the subrating is much less important than others

QuoteFirst things first: HP has removed the TrackPoint and dedicated keys, which will not go down well with traditionalists. In doing so, HP is following the same path that Dell and Lenovo have taken with their business laptops. In the long run, the trackpoint will probably die out.

Did I miss something? Lenovo is really removing the TrackPoint from ThinkPad keyboards?

Theres a post on the hp forum that states it isn't possible to upgrade or replace the default ram that comes with the laptop on the new gen9 elitebooks since the computer wont recognize it, has anyone managed to prove/disprove this?  That would be a major flaw in an otherwise outstanding product if you couldn't modify the ram.
