Reputedly, Microsoft is planning to introduce a next-generation Surface Laptop Go this season, but with only minor changes from the current model. Details about the Surface Laptop Go 2's specifications and prices have leaked so far, including that it will start with a 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB memory configuration.

Good luck to them selling this for the price they are asking given the macbook air is available that complete smokes this in every way. What a rip off

Macbook air is more expensive, so bad comparison. While, if we compare these at the same price point then 8/256GB Surface go 2 will be rly good product with Windows instead MacOS.

I just don't understand why 4GB for base. They should just set it to 6GB and it would be enough for causal web browsing and Netflix device.

Macbook air is $899 in the US for an 8GB ram and 256 SSD config. Same price as the same config for Surface Go 2. Yet literaly everything about the Mac is much better - screen, CPU, battery life, chassis, speakers. If you can get by without windows the Mac is just much better value than the SG2. Especially with that crap last gen Intel CPU.

Except, of course, its manufacturer Apple, price increments and (if Windows is preferred) MacOS. Both devices have a mirroring display and tiny arrow keys.

No consumer in their sane mind would buy this underpowered, overpriced pos of a laptop. Plenty of other, much better valued laptops for that money around.
Aside from 3:2 touch screen there is nothing else where Surface products with their outdated internals can offer anything premium over other laptops.
We Surface Book, ThinkStation and Thinkpads at home as well as few iPads, including miniLED one.
Aside from screen, there's nothing for the money where surface is good, yet they have copied Apples pricing strategies.
