Samsung has shipped around 100 million smartphones with faulty or weak encryption

Reportedly, Samsung has sent out tens of millions of smartphones with weak or faulty encryption. Estimates for the number of affected smartphones could reach 100 million and include all Galaxy S smartphones from the Galaxy S8 onwards. Samsung was made aware of the security issues nearly a year ago.

Just goes to show how much of a scam the whole Knox thing was. In Samsung newspeak it was a "security" feature but in reality it's a hardware DRM that limits user's choice of software, it's only purpose was to discourage unlocking phone's bootloader by taking away features if user chose to do so.

Don't be ridiculous. I've been working with Knox for past 8 years, and there where only handful of bigger security threats. Please note Knox solutions are certified for most of the government use, if this was seriously faulty you don't expect them to pass?

Also, I think this security issue wasn't obvious if it was found 5 YEARS after the introduction.
