It took a bog standard Porsche Taycan less than two and a half hours on the charger and US$76.82 in electricity costs to cover the 2,834.5-mile distance between Los Angeles and New York. "Hypermiling" aficionado  Wayne Gerdes managed to shorten the previous Guinness world record's fast-charging time by nearly three times.
