Intel's latest 10 nm Celeron CPU is making strides when it comes to overall processor performance. Multi-thread performance in particular rivals the Core i3-1005G1, but the integrated GPU remains disappointing.

Good review. Thanks for all the detail.
A lot of us in the astrophotography community use these, so the lack of USB PD is not a bad thing :) We use DC cables so that's fine for us!

Love these charts. Thank you. Great review.

Of a hideous, pointless, inefficient pile of cR@p. Yes, INEFFICIENT. We have a memory shortage, if you didn't notice, so coercing a customer to waste 2 perfectly good sticks on a f....ing Celeron N... Making them think it would somehow "help" with the abysmal, nowhere near desktop performance...

But what would some Chinese no-names know about chip economics, or indeed, implementing memory PROPERLY? Exactly. No-thing. They can't read a whitepaper; it's in English (LOL)!

Oh, and 100 points in CineBench R15 Single is not "Core i3-tier". Tremont is nowhere near supplementing even most ultra low-voltage Skylake's from 6 years ago. For now, it is more like, an AMD Dali starved on memory & overheating (& with mXFR off)

Excellent review, I really appreciated the scientific and objective approach. Thanks a lot!

this is such a wonderful review totally thorough and looks at things like power consumption and noise so scientifically I wish I could find this kind of review reliably for most computers:)

These mini PC's all seem to have similar motherboards. They all tend to spec out very similarly. I had a Geekom model that the soldered wifi card died in three months it ran really warm. Then I bought a Cybergeek model with almost same specs that had a replaceable wifi card that works better and runs much cooler. Unfortunately, that thermal cooling is the result of a noisy fan that runs constantly. The big question mark is how do these cheap PC's manage to afford installing a copy of Windows 11 Pro? If indeed the licensing is actually legit and not some bulk enterprise licensing that may eventually be voided.
