Some more smartphones from the popular Chinese OEM Xiaomi have joined the list of devices that seemingly won't receive an upgrade to Android 11. The new additions include five smartphones from the Xiaomi Mi 8 range, the Pocophone F1, and the Redmi Go. Xiaomi smartphones using a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 will not be updated to Android 11.

That's shame. Yes Poco got two updates, but just because it was delivered with outdated 8.1. I am stuck at 9 anyway, because it has face unlockand other features that were ripped from 10.

Nothing else was expected from Xiaomi. I buy Xiaomi devices based on the developer support. Shitty MIUI stays only as long as it takes to unlock the bootloader which in case of Poco F1 took only minutes. IR Face Unlock works well in Android 10 custom ROMs. I have been using crDroid from the beginning. Also I have a spare Redmi 3s running Android 10 pretty well. It was launched with Android 6 and didn't receive even a single update. With the kernel update to 4.9 it should be good for Android 11 and perhaps later as well.

I don't get it. They just announced Redmi Note 8 Pro specijal edition but it will not get A11? While Poco F1 got two upgades?!

Pls try to upgrade at least poco f1 it's an value of money phone it have best camera best processor 845 it's an mid range flagship phone otherwise what will be the difference between one plus 6 and poco f1 you must have to be one step forward from rival companies

Screw you Mi

Mi 8, Poco F1 were some of the best devices Mi ever came up with alongside Mi 5, Mi 4. Now to simply promote the crap phones(Redmi series) they're shutting off these. Mi 8 is much more powerful and overall a better device than these recent line ups. And to start with their software update for Poco was lackluster from the beginning. They released MiUi 12 for Poco and it was just for the namesake. I just rooted my Poco F1 and flashed Pixel Experience 10. And the 'real' A10 experience comes with it is awesome.

It's very bad that Xiaomi is not giving android 11 update to POCO F1 and it means that those who bought POCO F1 and other mi 8 are just being.......
