It has been reported that Redmi Note 8 smartphones will be receiving the MIUI 12 software update within the next few months. According to a well-known tipster, the Redmi Note 8 Pro could receive MIUI 12 by July with the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8T getting the update shortly afterwards, most likely in August.

My redmi note 8 usually goes off when ever am watching movies or playing games and also when ever I upload screen saver after a minute it will disappear. Please I don't know if you have any suggestions  :'(

yeah its something weird, i have my screen set to not turn off and the phone not to lock otherwise sometimes it locks when watching netflix or using kodi but if i set screen not to turn off or phone to lock then it's ok. Only problem is you have to remember to hit the power button to lock it when you're done.
