@william blake - if your goal is simply watching youtube then you might be better off with an ARM tablet.
I know what you are trying to say that integrated graphics don't matter much because there is such a thing as dedicated GPUs. While the iGPUs might be competitive at the low end, a midrange or upper range GPU would always win.
BUT, things aren't that simple. First of all, even with a gaming laptop you get benefits of a stronger iGPU such as with Vulkan and DX12. The other thing to consider is that you can use the iGPU to extend usage, for example let us say you are on a flight with no power outlets. You can game at low settings on the iGPU for the entire flight or game at max settings for 1/3rd the flight.
Not all usage is also about gaming. Some people might be doing creative work that would benefit from a more powerful iGPU but would benefit less from a dGPU. Especially if you plan to use your laptop on your lap or on the go.
