The Lenovo product page explicitly stated that it's Max-Q in the specifications. I don't know why there's any confusion at all.
Maybe you're looking at a different regional site, or Lenovo's corrected their "omission", otherwise this should be the third article (IIRC) on this site about this issue.
It's true that the product listing (under "View Current Models") on the US page mentions Max-Q, while that on the German and UK page don't.
However, the Tech Specs section on the same page mentions Max-Q for all 3 regions, which they would have found if they did a Ctrl-F for "Max-Q" and "MaxQ". The previous articles don't mention looking at the "Tech Specs" section at all; they only show a screen shot of the "View Current Models" listing.
The Tech Specs section is obviously the most reliable source of information publicly accessible, because both the product listing and PSREF are space-constrained and abbreviated. If they wrote articles on this without even looking at that section, it's either extremely lazy journalism, or intentionally manufacturing fraudulent articles.
To come back on the points you have raised:
PSREF is not space-constained or abbreviated. The main page may be, but not individual listings. Take these as examples, the both list the GPU as a GTX 1650, not a Max-Q.
https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_X1_Extreme_2nd_Gen?M=20QV00DBGE
https://psref.lenovo.com/Detail/ThinkPad/ThinkPad_X1_Extreme_2nd_Gen?M=20QV00BTAT
What makes you write that the Tech Specs is the "most reliable source of information publicly accessible"?
On the contrary, since Lenovo lists the majority of specifications under "View Current Models", it is reasonable to expect that to be a reliable source of information.
If Lenovo US can include an additional five characters for Max-Q, so can other regions.
Admirable whataboutery, but it underlines my point.
