AMD Navi 23 poised to be the much anticipated 'NVIDIA Killer', being readied for a mid-2020 launch to take on the RTX 2080 Ti

AMD is reportedly prepping Navi 23 to be a flagship GPU and is internally referring to it as the 'NVIDIA Killer' according to RedGamingTech's source. The specifications of Navi 23 are still unclear, but the source claims that AMD plans to release the new cards, which are likely to be based on RDNA 2.0 with ray tracing support, sometime in the mid-2020.

No doubt AMD will have better cards coming. Nvidia killer is certainly a vague statement and presumptuous. And this is the media messing with people's head inspiring gamers to wait yet again for an AMD product rather than inspiring people to move from 1080p old gaming to 1440p or beyond. Or simply say buy a better graphics card and see what you are missing in great graphical gaming.
Nvidia has had great cards in the 1080/1080ti/2070s/2080s/2080ti variants.
But here we are more than a year before or more talking about AMD and it's ,"Nvidia killer". Yay.

And AMD will screw their fans again like with Ryzen 1 and 1+. And wait until period 3 to really release a great card at a weird price and config making the previous bad purchases. Haha.

If AMD is seriously talking about competing with Nvidia at the high end, then it has to go beyond making cards that match the Nvidia 2080.  AMD would also have to make cards that compete with--and surpass--the Nvidia Titan V.  It would be beautiful if AMD is able to compete with and surpass both the 2080 and the Titan V on Nvidias' stomping ground.  AMD would still have to compete on performance & price.  Time will tell, though.

What do you mean by this? I've used AMD GPU's and CPU's for quite some time and have had no problem with them (nor with Intel/Nvidia either). Quite often when I see someone blaiming software like Windows, behind it is a user who has done something wrong and doesn't realise it.

Right now I have AMD 3800X/X570 TUF (BIOS: Asus optimized = low volts, low temps, good performance) and AMD R9 390 8Gb. With freesync, modern games like FC New Dawn, Dying Light and such still run so well, I might not upgrade my GPU after all (I'm new to Freesync). I doubt GTX970 with it's 4Gb (3.5 actually) of VRAM could compete and these were competing products at the time of purchase, GTX being more expensive. For example FC New Dawn uses >4.5Gb of VRAM with 1440p/HD textures and >4Gb even at 1080p with HD textures.
