The new all-rounder from Asus arms itself with a mid-range graphics card to tackle the multimedia world. The new VivoBook is not only slim and sleek but is also fast. However, the Asus product must admit defeat in certain aspects of the competition.

Amazing review! Very nice to see so many details about the laptop. :)

I bought an Asus Vivobook S14 a month back. Worst product and customer service ever. The laptop keeps going into EZ_BIAS mode and there is no way to reboot it. I sent it for repairing and the received product started making continuous noise. Customer service is not supportive and apparently, the repair makes the laptop worse. Being a student, it is difficult to manage without laptop. This is a nightmare and I would advice not to buy Asus laptops

Tom...

I have the same laptop with mx150 (previous model I guess), and I really love it. This is my third asus laptop, and my personal experience is that they are really long lasting. In Hungary, asus has a pretty nice customer service(outsourced to another company), I only had a problem once, and they replaced the whole motherboard (everything was integrated), and also the keyboard, despite it was obvious I removed the bottom multiple times for changing hdd and things. And they didn't even ask or anything. This was an important part of my decision on buying asus.
So in Hungary, I'd really recommend it. Both of the previous ones are still working 7 and 12 yrs old, after playing the sh*t out of them.

This is a good one as well, cs:go runs at 80-100 fps, max settings, CS:S at 170 fps, max.
I think the plastic cover could be a bit more solid. Keyboard is good and quiet, however touch-pad could be better, but still okay for everyday use. The screen goes totally blank when using on sunshine, as mentioned.

It has an empty slot to increase memory to 16 gb (that's maximum), and also room to add a  second ssd/ hdd.
The fingerprint reader is kinda crappy, I can never unlock it for first time.
But I'm the kind with wet hands mostly.

I wrote all the negativities after using it for a year, but overall I'm still really satisfied with it. Perfect for everyday use, can easily hadle 30-40+ browser tabs+proker client+ cs:source on taskbar, and still good for my gaming needs.
