Affordable laptops about to become more efficient: New Qualcomm Snapdragon X CPUs for sub $600 systems

While Intel and AMD seems to be content to serve their newest CPU technology only in the high-end part of the market, Qualcomm is attempting to capture the low end as well. The new Qualcomm Snapdragon X, with its eight Oryon CPU cores, is meant to take market share in the sub $600 device class.

A 12-13" tablet with this SD X SoC would be a very tempting alternative to iPad Pro and you would get mouse support, usb ports and a real OS.

Surface Go or similar 10-11 inch tablet or mini laptop form factor!

If only these Snapdragon X APU's had decent iGPU's.

However without a decent iGPU they might still make awesome Linux machines.
