I don't really understand what is ASUS doing... In my opinion the N550JK is better in every aspect compared to the N551JK

Can someone fix the amazon.com links? Many of them are horribly wrong, pointing to similar models with outdated processors.

May I ask why the i7 FHD model of the XPS 15 9550 (http://www.notebookcheck.net/Dell-XPS-15-9550-Core-i7-FHD-Notebook-Review.158875.0.html) is not listed, despite having a higher score than the i7 UHD version (i7 FHD: 88%; i7 UHD: 86%)?

I agree with some ratings for the May 2018 update. The Aero 15 is very nice as are the new HP laptops,ASUS etc. I still don't get how the XPS 15 is missed, or why you have the macbook ranked as number 1? Most everyone can agree the macbooks have not been refreshed in quite some time and the hardware specs are far behind some of these other offerings. Also, screen brightness does not dictate accuracy. The XPS infinity edge screen and probably some of HP's have the most accurate RGB color specs.

It isn't really fair, you are evaluating v6 and v7 reviewed products with the same scale

(as of 2020 June 13)

I don't quite understand this ranking.

NBC had reviewed the 2020 macbook pro 16", yet they put the old butterfly switch 15" on the first place, whereas the 16" isn't even in the list?

And why are the lenovo ideapad s340 and msi ps63 modern even on the list in the first place?
Their screen and performance are just mediocre at best, and as for the ps63, you call a laptop with less than 200nits of brightness a "multimedia" laptop? Seriously?

Best multimedia laptop with 50 dB at load and with 50 °C on the keyboard?

MacBook Pro 2021 with awful response time from 43ms is "best multimedia notebook"?

Are you seriously? On us, even playing a 30fps video (not to mention 50/60fps) cannot be guaranteed without a breakdown in synchronization - the panel simply does not have time to redraw the entire screen in 100% of cases. And this is the best "multimedia" screen? Not able to draw pixel to pixel 4k video or fhd video without muddiness? And even 2560x1440, it is also not able to draw pixel to pixel, i.e. can't physically draw clear anything at all?

Today, only 4k IPS/120Hz panels can be recognized as a multimedia screen (for example, HP install such panels in the Omen series since 2021, unlike Apple) and nothing else.

Moreover, all screens with miniLed backlighting suffer from zone halos. even 4000+ backlight zones are not enough to draw a clear picture on the screen, only screens with microLED are capable of this, but Apple could not launch them into a series.

Well, about the fact that on the Mac's screen all the glare is yours, I don't even mention it.

Until Apple installs normal, full-fledged panels with 4k resolution of 3840x2160 (or better 3840x2400 16:10), there can be no question of a "best multimedia laptop" in its camp. Only these panels are universal and give the highest quality in sharpness of details..

Here we go again with the apple fanboys.  Apple is one of the worst multimedia notebooks every made. It shouldn't even be on this let along the first three choices.  Apple computers are incompatible with at least 75 percent of audio formats and probably 60% of video formats. Apple blocks you from being able to install standalone players like VLC so you are forced to use a limited number of players which are also limited in their compatibility.  It may be the best and smoothly operating but when it's compatibility is crippled and your ability to introduce software is blocked it then becomes a terrible multimedia computer. Shouldn't even be on this list.

Oddly enough, after all these years, the only company represented in these that I trust even slightly is dell. Laptops are complicated. Now a lot of stuff can go wrong with them, and it's usually very hard to fix, because there's so many models that you like, even if you fully are confident that you are buying the correct part, you could have just barely bought the wrong one or it was listed slightly wrong because someone on the other end got confused because it's like fifteen characters.

Lenovo basically doesn't even have support if something goes wrong with it, you're just screwed. if it just came out recently and something goes wrong, then they'll just replace it, but if it's been a year, then they've already gone through, like ten new models of laptops like completely new models, not even just like mini revisions like what hp does where they release a new model, apparently every week.

I know asus said they were committing to not having the worst support in the entire world. But I haven't checked in to see how that is going, and if they actually it acted on that, or if it's the same as before, but before it was quite bad, so they'd have a lot of room to improve

And acer's not listed here, they have absolutely horrific support as well, and one said, laptop is no longer being produced, it's like lenovo,  they act like it never existed, but the conceptD 5 and 7 have the best form factor of any convertible laptop I've ever seen. I don't understand why they didn't just keep making them, and microsoft had a model I think of the surface laptop that faulted the same way because i'm so over that floppy keyboard thing with tablet keyboards, it's so useless in garbage.
But anyway, that is the best laptop I've ever had. But yeah, when something goes wrong with it, it's really, really difficult to fix on your own.And every time it's at risk that i'm just gonna blow it up completely cause it's so fragile once opened.
