The OnePlus 13 is tipped to launch as part of the first wave of next-gen premium Android smartphones with the flagship-grade Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Now, it is also backed to debut with an edge over its rivals with a spec typically reserved for the brand's most performance-focused handsets.

24GB! For what, opening 300 tabs in your browser. You're not seriously going to claim people are multitasking on their phone. Usually that means holding their phone in one hand and a beer in the other.

I'll be more than happy with 12-16GB but screen needs to be flat or no deal. So sick of the curved screen.

Using on device AI uses up a lot of RAM, so that's likely the reason they're making a 24GB option

Imagine how crappy Android is on the inside if it requires 24 gigs to keep your banking apps open.

You could use all this ram by running native Linux desktop on your phone without root, but OnePlus is one of couple producers who outright ban such activity by popping up error message and closing all linux processes.

Ridiculous your claims 24 GB isn't needed the OS and every app inside of it runs mostly from boot it's the developers doing the boot flag that's the culprit so until that changes you'll still need ram
