Digital Foundry's Richard Leadbetter, in a recent interview, stated that the PC-equivalent for the PlayStation 5 Pro console would cost a 'fair bit more'. This is hardly a surprise, since the whole point of a gaming console is to provide a decent gaming experience while being easy to afford. The PS5 Pro's absurdly high pricing may rattle this trend a bit, but it's hard to argue that its value proposition is worse than a PC.

First, I agree, putting together a gaming PC for ~$700 that can match or beat the performance of the PS5 Pro (at the performance level currently described) is actually not that hard, especially if you acquire your components wisely. The only way the digital foundry guys comments are true is if you buy everything brand new at MSRP.
