French police charge Telegram CEO Pavel Durov with facilitating child sexual abuse content

French authorities have charged Telegram CEO Pavel Durov with facilitating the distribution of child sexual abuse content on the platform (and more). Arrested near Paris, Durov - a resident of Russia, France, the UAE, the states of Saint Kitts and Nevis - is now facing restrictions on leaving France.

Telegram is not encrypted by default and stores all your conversations on their servers.  It has nothing to do with privacy.
