Square Enix shooter Foamstars to go free-to-play after haemorrhaging players following February release

After a massive launch followed by AI-fuelled controversy and dwindling player counts, Foamstars will go free-to-play in October 2024. The 4v4 arena shooter will also drop the PlayStation Plus account requirement for online play. Until October, Foamstars will still cost $29.99 via the PlayStation Store.
