Artificial MAGLEV heart made of titanium implanted in human patient for first time

The clinical trial for BiVACOR's innovative artificial heart has reached a stage in which it is being tested in human patients. The synthetic vital organ replacement, which incorporates magnetic levitation (or MAGLEV) technology to keep a user's blood pumping, has been successfully implanted at a Texas research center.
