For the first time ever, third party smart gadgets can now work with LG's ThinQ-enabled appliances thanks to Homey integration. In a bid to gain more clout in the smart home, LG has bought 80% of Athom, the parent company of the Homey smart home platform, and is well on its way to owning the remaining 20%.
