It's unfortunate the thermal prowess of the Magic 6 pro seems insufficient had high hopes for it,imagine gaming even indoors in a summer-laden country.

Coming from S23 Ultra, Honor Magic 6 Pro has some advantages but also a lot of disadvantages...
Advantages:
- good display that's not getting your eyes tired;
- amazing battery life( with s23 ultra I couldn't pass the 5h SOT, while with Honor I have easily 8h);
- good amount of customizable things; easy to use interface(100% copy from Huawei);

and now the bad parts:
- camera quality it's really bad compared to s23 ultra( I could zoom and no quality degradation happened due to 10x optical zoom--> you can;t beat optics and fool with sht AI);
- video quality it's really worse due to EIS instead of OIS , here scamsung was the king;
- fingerprint sensor it's placed in the down part of the screen and it's really hard to unlock it;
- face unlock sometimes works sometimes not, it has the advantage that's working even in the dark, for the scamsung it was needed a really bright screen to achieve this;
- really slow software support, just image that honor magic 5 pro didn't even get yet a14...
- really slow HW replacement if you have warranty issues(at least in my country - Romania)

I hope that Magic 7 pro will bring a at least 5x telephoto, better software support, and improved aftersales support.

The Honor has pretty good cameras up to regular distance of 2.6 optical video zoom and 2.5 They should have made it 5X like the Magic 5, but Samsung S24 Ultra, which the biggest Youtuber reviewers said is the best phone in 2024 lowered from 10X to 5X, maybe a good combo b/w real zoom (which I agree is the real deal) and Perscope camera, which is the largest on the Honor. Either way, I don't care about photos and Videos much and for me the fact they even compare Honor with S24 Ultra and iPhone 15 Pro Max and it looses, but  in 1 or 2 places per brand it takes a point, it is more than enough. I am amazed of display brightness and HDR contrast on Videos on a sunny day, insane- so much more than I need, how can I tell the difference of a slightly better cameras, when using quick Share option destroys the quality in all SM platforms and VoIP apps like Viber. I can see it amazing, but for people who share it for others, I don't see the point. The SoC is not warm and not in this phone, tested in July heat on AnTuTu 10.2.X, COD Warzone( amonster device killer- flies), Geekbench 6 and more. It is respectable and the options of Magic OS 8 have a lot to offer, Multiwindows have the regular shared screen in two, for 2 apps and Miniwindow with as many as you a**, and both can run at the same time split in 2 and miniwindow, shortcuts when pulling from the corner inwards, different fewer choises of apps, when pull an image, a text copied with 1 finger slide are optionable to pul outside direction to the corner and drop in one of the apps u can choose from. I am happy with cooling, happy with a disassemble video I saw after I had the phone and I knew it is not a hot one, doesn't crash, the edge is minimum on the screen and it never feels the oside touches to screw up your touch usability, but it from all sides front and back and it's handy and thin, apart from the cam capsule. It feels premium in the hand and battery runs 48h with 6h Screen On time in it. More restricted use, for messaging not to much and using the phone a bit less than normal, just as a regular person needs I managed to do 65h TOTAL TIME with 7:23h SCREEN ON TIME in it without Battery Saver. The face unlock is the thing I disagree with the most. I always was amazed how modern iPhones unlock tby face, now this honor sees me from every angle on fully dark, at times I don't want it to see me, and with option to open directly withouth sliding lock screen after that, I am back in my app in miliseconds. It is considered offcial security method like on iPhone and Galaxy, but it works like magic. Is the Samsung better in camera and overall, maybe a little in some areas- the non-reflective screen is great, Honor's is super bright and I see it on the beach, so it compensates, bt still but still. I think it is up to a choice on what you prefer. I liked the Motorola very much, the Honor has some minor bugs in Magic OS, not freezig or such, Maybe Galaxy has something that will miss me from the Motorola too. I prefer camera loss and just a little PPI density loss, for Benchmark wins, and mostly battery win-important, for lower price. I like Samsung, I like Motorolla, because I had some of the new ones Edge Pro 30/40, great machines, but this year they came out with the SD8s gen.3, so looking for Galaxy Alternative I got Honor and it is great for almost 3 months now. erlier reviews are before some updates.
