A recent report from Bloomberg states that Spotify's high-fidelity audio support will arrive as a $5 add-on on top of the standard subscription fee. While this may allow Spotify to increase payouts to artists, it will be interesting to say how many people make the switch, considering competitors such as Apple music offer high-res lossless audio without any supplementary add-ons.
