The Nikon Z III has leaked as an update to Nikon's Z6 II, allegedly to arrive by around June 11. The new full-frame camera will supposedly support 4K ProRes RAW video at up to 60 fps as well as 6K, 12-bit NRAW video. Allegedly, the new autofocus system in the Z6 III will perform as well as or better than the flagship Z9. Leaks also put the Z6 III's price at around €3,000 in the EU and slightly lower in the US.

Mr Majestyk

The current Z6II sensor has a pathetically slow scan speed, so it doesn't matter how fast the EXPEED or however many they have you can get the data off the sensor fast enough and the rolling shutter will still be vile and the electronic shutter will be useless for fast action photography. For comparison, the Canon R6 II sensor is > 4x faster in scan speed. If Nikon continues to use Sony's ancient slow sensor tech while not insisting on faster scan speeds they are frankly a joke. Also, the price would only be $1K less than the awesome Z8, which has 46MP, stacked sensor, 8K, bigger buffer.

Again unfinished garbage with a shameful 6k@30fps, instead of 8k@60fps with an EXPLICITLY indicated bitrate of 300Mbps, minimum.

And for this they ask for a monstrous $3000+ without optics? Why and who needs this in 2024?

Nikon better focus on competing with ASML products, because the photographic equipment market is now 100% unprofitable and has no prospects with such a pathetic approach to business.
