Scantech has unveiled the Simscan-E handheld laser scanner to rapidly create 3D models from real-world objects. The wireless scanner uses up to 63 laser lines to scan objects at over six million measurements per second. The 3D models can be used to verify production accuracies, create virtual models, and replicate parts.
